Frequently asked questions
Which macOS, iOS or iPadOS versions does Print 2 Ship support?
macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later, iOS 17 or later, iPadOS 17 or later.
Do I need an internet connection?
Label processing, PDF export, and printing work offline. Internet is only needed to buy or restore Unlimited through the App Store.
Will it work with my printer?
Print 2 Ship works with most printers. On Mac, any printer listed in System Settings → Printers works. On iPhone and iPad, the standard print flow uses AirPrint. If your printer does not support AirPrint, export a PDF and print it through the printer manufacturer's app.
Which file formats can I import?
PDF and all common image formats (PNG, JPG, HEIC, TIFF…).
What happens with multi-page PDFs?
Each page becomes its own job in the queue. You can review, crop, and print them together.
Auto-detection picked the wrong area. What now?
Two options: 1) Click the wand button next to Print to re-run detection on the selected page. 2) Drag the crop handles manually to fine-tune the rectangle.
How do I create my own label size?
Open the Presets sidebar (⌘⇧P) → click "New Preset" → enter your size (mm or inch).
Where are my presets stored?
Locally in your user defaults. They are not synced via iCloud.
My Mac only has 8 GB of RAM, is that enough?
Yes. By default Print 2 Ship uses up to 10% of your RAM. For large batches you get a warning so nothing crashes unexpectedly. The budget is adjustable in Settings → Memory.
